Patton Versus Rommel
Patton vs. Rommel is a computer war game designed and programmed by Chris Crawford, and published by Electronic Arts in 1987 for the Macintosh and DOS. The DOS version was adapted by Sculptured Software, and a Commodore 64 version was also created. After the success of Crawford's game Balance of Power EA wanted to work with him, but could not acquire the rights to sequel the game. Instead, they suggested he build on the tradition of his seminal Atari title Eastern Front. Rather than create a derivative game on the Western Front, Crawford elected to focus the game's design on fog of war and the personalities of American general George Patton and the German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel.+++NEEDS DOSBOX TO RUN ON MODERN COMPUTERS+++

Paul's Graphic Viewer is a Windows program for viewing graphic files in the most common graphics formats. Currently the file formats supported are: Windows or OS/2 Bitmaps, Compuserve GIF files, Zsoft PCX files, JPEG files, Targa files, Tagged Image Format TIFF files and Windows ICONs. It may be used as a stand alone Windows program or be used as a graphics driver for programs such as File Manager, Explorer or ZTreeWin. Paul's Graphic Viewer is designed to support True Colour ie 15/16/24 bit colour (such as Vesa or PCI). Some 256 colour video modes will function with true colour but with reduced picture quality. GIF and other files with a 256 or 16 colour palette will translate correctly.

IBM PC DOS was an operating system for the IBM Personal Computer, manufactured and sold by IBM from the 1980s to the 2000s. Before version 6.1, PC DOS was an IBM-branded version of MS-DOS. For versions 6.1 and later, development diverged and PC DOS became an independent product. PC DOS 7 was released in April 1995 and was the last release of DOS before IBM's Boca Raton facility closed. The REXX programming language was added, as well as support for a new floppy disk format, XDF, which extended a standard 1.44 MB floppy disk to 1.86 MB. SuperStor disk compression technology was replaced with Stac Electronics' STACKER. An algebraic command line calculator and a utility program to load device drivers from the command line were added. PC DOS 7 also included many optimizations to increase performance and reduce memory usage.
