The downside of my approach: You can only save your progress in the game if you never exit the game. But you can tell VirtualBox to "save the machine state". If you want to use your VirtualBox'd WinXP for other stuff too, this means setting up a "Even More Contraptions" dedicated virtual machine.
Hi there, I got it running. Here's what I did: 1. Windows XP pro in Oracle/Sun VirtualBox (on OSX host, shouldn't matter) I had this already existing for other retro-gaming 2. Unrar all the files into a folder "Contraptions" in the host OS 3. Create a virtual CDrom image (.viso) in VirtualBox named "Contraptions", containing all the stuff in the "Contraptions" folder on the host OS Menubar > Devices > Optical Drives > Choose/Create a disk image... 4. put the virtual CDrom image in the virtual drive. No Installation needed... 5. Navigate to the Folder "Files" on the DC drive of WinXP Guest OS, run EvenMore.exe mfg mf

I appreciate it's a lot of files, but you can download them all and it still be one download from website. I tried uploading larger file size chunks but received errors from website. Sorry about that. Otherwise, it's a really fun game.
