This is a type of early DOS word processor.
Documents are saved with a .DOC extension, but they are **NOT** compatible with MS-Windows Wordpad in either direction.
TXT documents created with Notepad can be imported into First Choice, but not exported into Notepad - you can't save files from First Choice using a file extension other than DOC.
Files created with First Choice opened outside of First Choice displayed the text GERBILDOC, and some garbage. Files other than basic TXT files when opened in First Choice similarly references gerbils.
I don't know why the gerbil references.
