I actually preferred DOS to Windows back in the day, but Windows let me use some things that DOS just wouldn't allow. I used to turn my PC on, boot Windows and watch Johnny Castaway for hours at a time. I'm surprised that Screen Antics didn't release a version for Win-95/98/Me. There were probably a lot of folks at work watching Johnny missing chance after chance to get off that island.
