Lotus Improv 2.1

Category: Office
Year: 1993
Description:[Works on all versions of Windows, from 3.1 to XP to Vista] Lotus Improv's revolutionary approach is unlike any spreadsheet you've seen before. Ground-breaking Lotus Improv technology lets you rearrange your worksheets dynamically with a click of a mouse. Marketing managers can view the worksheet their way, sales executives their way, and financial planners their way. Instantly. There's no need to rebuild the worksheet, re-enter data or copy formulae. Say goodbye to confusing cell addresses like B43 or C10. And say hello to natural language, common sense formulae.

Installs great in Boxer for macOS. What a fantastic approach to spreadsheets.
Improv's methodology is profoundly intuitive compared to traditional implementations. And, since formulas are inherently generic, it's so much quicker to build up a model without the extra steps other spreadsheets require to achieve the same efficacy. At present, this is the best option for those of us who can't afford Quantrix.

It was easy to setup Version 2.0 on virtualbox and windowsme but i have no idea how to do the 2.1 update because this requires some serial information and i don't know how to provide it.

Make sure you copy all of the files only a writeable media (like your HD). Installing from a CD or DVD won't work because they're not writeable by the virtual floppy software.

File extension is .MAN, not .RAR. Not a problem. Just rename the extension to .RAR. The specs.txt files says that works Windows from 3.1 to XP to Vista. Will test it out on my Win7 machine.

OK, the solution is to click on the *.vfd files -> Properties and uncheck 'Read Only'

Unable to install. Instructions for vfdwin.exe say to uncheck 'read only' when installation disk mounted. But 'read only' is greyed out after mounting and installation fails
