Awesome program! PageMaker 3.00, without the update is actually a Windows 2.x program! Tested this out, PM 3.00 works great under Windows 2.03. The update to 3.01 adds the ability to properly run under Windows 3.x, but it is still technically a Windows 2 executable. As a result it isn't happy under later versions of Windows.
A couple of notes: the installer is a DOS program and is sensitive to the volume labels. It must be installed from the disk images. The images are 1.2mb so they may need to be converted to 1.44mb with winimage if you can't use 1.2mb files.
Thanks for providing this historic rare file, I don't think I have seen it anywhere else.
PS: Allegedly PageMaker 2 "for DOS" ran under Windows 1!
