Code page is reffering to the code page of keyboard. Is different code pages for using one keyboard with special characters of some languages. Search on Internet for spanish code page and use it with the MS-DOS Code page command (search Internet for details too). Better is to use first Norton Commander for DOS or Volkov Commander for DOS. Use code page command at the prompt and after run dBase.
Dbase (all latest versions) and FoxPro (all latest versions)work good in XP. Put a shortcut on Desktop and edit Properties (to make Full screen). I am a dbase programmer and still using this software even in Windows 8 era. You can mail me at gremiro@yahoo.com
