The disk images are just fine. This is without doubt, the best little CAD program produced at the time. And it was affordable. A fraction of other products. How good you ask? So good that Autodesk bought the rights to the software outright from the Devs. This is the program that introduced the Function/command key idea - of a command entry line at the bottom of the screen. Made drawings so, so much faster. Autodesk immediately incorporated the whole concept lock stock and barrel into their own DOS product. And Generic CADD disappeared. Meanwhile, loyal Generic CADD followers were hurt, stranded and pissed. So much so, the Devs were able to get the rights to the code back and product at least 1 or 2 revisions before folding their tents up. Generic CADD was such a great company. You could call or write to them and the actual owners would talk to you. They sent out monthly newsletters, updates that were free or nominal to cover postage & floppy costs. Amazing times. I know, I bought Generic CADD 3.1 for my fledgling construction business because I was all about being at the very bleeding edge of technology in those days. And it would produce magnificent drawings, putting that wide-carriage Panasonic 24 pin printer to work for sometimes as much as an hour to produce one drawing. AppleSeed
