Cool Edit Pro 2.00 (2095.0)

Category: Multimedia
Year: 2000
Description:A digital audio workstation developed by Syntrillium Software featuring both a multitrack, non-destructive mix/edit environment and a destructive-approach waveform editing view. Syntrillium Software was founded in the early 1990s by Robert Ellison and David Johnston, both former Microsoft employees. Originally developed by Syntrillium as Cool Edit, the program was distributed as crippleware for Windows computers. The full version was useful and flexible, particularly for its time.[according to whom?] Syntrillium later released Cool Edit Pro, which added the capability to work with multiple tracks as well as other features. Audio processing, however, was done in a destructive manner (at the time, most computers were not powerful enough in terms of processor performance and memory capacity to perform non-destructive operations in real-time). Cool Edit Pro v2 added support for real-time non-destructive processing.
Manufacturer: Syntrillium Software
Localization: EN
OS: Windows 9x/ME

In addition to my comment above: i could not get the sound playing in Cooledit Pro 2 there was an error related to "sndvol32 /r". This can be easily solved by changing a register entry in Windows. It is described as 'Method 2' (scroll a bit downwards on the page) at: https://appuals.com/cool-edit-pro2-not-playing/

After unzipping the package to a directory of your choice, run "cep2reg.exe" to register Cool Edit Pro 2.00 to the following:
Name: TEAM ROR s/n: 200-00-RD5MDDY9
And you can use it forever.
B.t.w In Windows 7 there is an error wich mentions a missing dll-file: which is: "wmvcore2.dll" This dll-file can be found online and must be copied to the "Windows/System32" directory to get rid of the error.
Finally I have a problem at the moment when trying to play something, giving the vague error mentioning an undefined error. But maybe that just is something with my system...
