Joe's Own Editor 2.2
This is Joe's Own Editor for Dos, which is a Wordstar clone generally used on Unix/Linux installations. This is the first version of Joe that supported Dos. Some features of this editor are a clock, a simple calculator, the ability to edit more than one file at a time, and the ability to use a couple of other editor cntl key bindings (namely Wrdstar and Emacs). To use the cntl key bindings of other editors you need to rename joe.exe to either jmacs.exe or jstar.exe. Jpico and rjoe modes are not supported in this version of Joe. Note in Jstar mode cntl-K-H does not do it's Wordstar equivalent function. Instead it still pops up the help menu. All functions of this editor work except for the two for running outside processes inside of the editor. It is possible to shell out to Dos however. Even though this editor is a clone of Wordstar, it does not support Wordstar's function key bindings or it's text file format. It only supports ascii files. No UTF-8 support.

Kinetic Graphics System is a feature rich, high-end DOS based graphing and charting program geared towards desktop publishing. It supports a variety of hardware including the Number Nine graphics card in 256 colors. Outputs to slide makers, plotters, or laser printers. Kinetic also served as a graphics service bureau. Using this software, one could create charts and send the results directly to Kinetic for professionally printed 35mm slides or overhead transparencies. Kinetic Graphics System competed against other high end studio graphics packages such as Execucom Systems Impressionist, and Zenographics Mirage. The program is organized in to separate modules: System - File Management Words - Word charts Art - Drawing Graphs - Data charts Layout - Combination charts These were normally sold separately, however this set appears to contain all modules. Lotus 1-2-3 was an early spreadsheet application available for MS-DOS. It became extremely popular in the late 1980s, displacing the former leader VisiCalc. Lotus had difficulties adapting 1-2-3 to the Windows environment, and was overtaken by Microsoft Excel. This adaptation is specifically for the Tandy 2000, a beefy 80186 based computer which is not IBM PC hardware compatible but runs a special version of MS-DOS. It supports the Tandy 2000's additional memory capacity (up to 768 KB) and 640x400x8 color graphics. Archive includes five 5.25" double sided "quad density" (80 track 96tpi) 720k floppy disk images. IMPORTANT: This software contains copy protection, and no unprotect is known to exist. To make a working disk image, you must use the Kryoflux or SCP disk images. Copy protection type: Invalid/overlapping sectors on track zero.
