Data Master 3.1

Category: DBMS
Year: 1994
Description:This is the best non-commercial DBMS program for DOS that I have found so far. It was original a shareware program that charged $39 to register. Not bad for a program that is remarkably similar in many aspects to R:Base 3.1 and 4.0 which I know back "in the days" cost $500.00 or more. Comes with limited documentation due to its unregistered status, but I think it is pretty straightforward enough to figure out. Comes with 1 sample DB called "Congress" which lists all of our Congressman from back in the mid 90's. Also, since using it, I see no limitations due to its being unregistered.
Manufacturer: Robert K. Summers
Localization: EN
OS: DOS

Yes this is a quiet impressive product.
Very good handling with keyboard, mouse works too but with keyboard its much faster, there is everything accessible by a shortcut. Very intitive to use
I never needed the dokumentation.
Probably inspired from DataEase that had in the beginning the same name DataMaster.
DataEase aka DataMaster is from Arun Gupta and Busch, this DataMaster is from Robert K Summers. I think he "borrowed" the name after Guptas DataMaster changed the name to DataEase.
Thanks for uploading this gem.
Theres one "bug" in this version. Seems that it was installed in the root dir. If you copy it to a subdir it does not find the docufile if you press F1. It says something like README.DOC not found in \DM. You better install it to C:\DM.
