Appears to be a genuine, working version of dBase V. Setting it up was a bit long-winded, as I had to install three different programs to unpack the downloaded file and then fiddle around a bit.
I used "Free RAR Extract Frog" on the RAR download. This produced four "IMZ" files, each one corresponding to a floppy disc used by the dBase installation.
I then used "ExtractNow" to unpack each of the four IMZ files to produce IMA files. Although ExtractNow claimed that it could unpack IMA files, it didn't work in this case, so I tried WinImage instead.
WinImage unpacked the IMA files without any trouble, however a utility provided with WinImage to emulate a floppy drive wasn't totally successful. I was able to start the dBase installation from the
first floppy, but when dBase asked for the second floppy to be mounted, it wasn't possible to unmount the first.
To get the installation done, I inserted a blank memory stick, copied the contents of the first disc to it and started the installation routine. When dBase asked for disks 2, 3 then 4 to be loaded, I deleted the existing contents of the memory stick and copied over the required files.
