This disk contains three programs, DIAG, EMUL and PREVIEW, to be used
with the AST-3G adapter.
DIAG - Display several screens to verify functionality of the adapter
EMUL OFF - Set operating mode to EGA (mode is set at powerup according to
position of the toggle switch).
EMUL ON - Set operating mode to Hercules, if mono display is used, or set
mode to CGA, if color or enhanced display is used (mode is set
at powerup according to position of the toggle switch).
EMUL ON R - Set operating mode to emulation (Hercules or CGA) and load
'keyboard intercept' routine to allow three key reset
on incompatible non-IBM PC's. The needs to be
done only if the system locks up with a message 'parity check 2'
after the three key reset.
PREVIEW 1 - Disable graphics mode in Hercules mode
PREVIEW 2 - Enable one page of graphics in Hercules mode
PREVIEW 3 - Enable two pages of graphics in Hercules mode
The four position switch and the toggle on the 3G adapter are used to indicate
the display type, and determine powerup mode of the adapter as follows:
